Beijing yesterday rejected the conclusions of a US government report that Chinese spying is "growing in scale, intensity and sophistication," AP reported. The annual report by the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission told US lawmakers last week that they should review US capability to meet the "rising challenge" of Chinese espionage. It also warned that the development of China’s navy threatens the US ability to intervene in the Taiwan strait. A Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the report "ignores the facts and is full of prejudice and ulterior motives." The spokesperson added that the report could damage China-US relations.
