Beijing Vantone to take WTC holding

One of China's largest property groups, Beijing Vantone Real Estate, has signed a preliminary lease for the top five floors of one of the new World Trade Center buildings in New York, the South China Morning Post reported. The company will lease 200,000 square feet of office space at about US$50 per square foot in the building that overlooks the site of the original World Trade Center Towers that were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The space is likely to be used for offices and an executive club for Chinese companies keen to establish a foothold in the US.
