Hong Kong property developers Thomas and Raymond Kwok and former Hong Kong official Rafael Hui are facing a series of charges related to bribes the Kwok brothers allegedly paid to Mr. Hui, The Wall Street Journal reported. Summation of the trial will be held on Monday; if the defendants are convicted, years in prison are ahead for them. The five defendants, including an official of Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016.HKG), which the Kwoks control, and an associate of Mr. Hui’s, have all pleaded not guilty to the charges. The trial has entailed stories of lavish spending, mistresses, a kidnapping and secret payments from Beijing.
