As the 12th China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC Exhibition 2009) opened to visitors at China International Exhibition Center, Su Jing, Deputy Director of Beijing Chaoyang Investment Promotion Bureau disclosed that the CBD’s east expansion zone will generally be completed by 2019.
CCTV.com reports that as the most central part of CHITEC Exhibition 2009, a total of 60,000 square meters of floor space has been arranged for high-tech product exhibition. The floor space is distributed into eight exhibition halls, which will respectively showcase themes such as major scientific and technological achievements that have been made over the past 60 years, circular economy, energy saving and emissions reduction.
More than 2,200 domestic and foreign enterprises attend the exhibition, and over 150 enterprises from Zhongguancun Science Park will display nearly 1,000 high-tech products.
During the exhibition, five districts, namely Chaoyang District, Fengtai District, Dongcheng District, Shijingshan District and Shunyi District, will attend together in the form of industry centralized zones, showing the CBD, Lize Financial Business District, Airport-centric Economic Zone, Shunyi Industrial Park of CIEC, and Zhongguancun Yonghe Park.
