A group of investors led by US private-equity firm Blackstone has launched a bid to acquire Chinese technology outsourcing firm Pactera Technology International (PACT.NASDAQ) at a steep 42.5% premium, The Wall Street Journal reported. The Blackstone led offer values the US-listed company at more than US$660 million. The group of investors includes Pactera’s chairman, CEO and three other executives. If the Pactera buyout goes through, it would follow in the footsteps of Chinese IT services firm AsiaInfo-Linkage (ASIA.NASDAQ) and ad firm Focus Media Holdings (FMCN.NASDAQ). Pactera’s management team has yet to indicate whether they will accept Blackstone’s buyout.
