Boeing deal signed

Boeing announced that it concluded a deal with five Chinese carriers to sell 30 Boeing 737 passenger jets. The deal is estimated to be worth US$1.7 billion.

The planes will be purchased by Air China, Hainan Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Xiamen Airlines. Delivery of the orders is scheduled for 2005 and 2006.
