Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) signed a framework agreement with Shanghai Baosteel and Yongcheng Coal & Electricity to form a coal joint venture, according to Chinese media reports. Brazil-based CVRD and two mainland partners will construct a plant in Henan province, where Yongcheng Coal operates three coal mines with an annual production capacity of 10 million tons.
