Cafe de Coral, a fast-food restaurant operator listed in Hong Kong and with several outlets there, plans to increase its mainland outlets to 80 by the end of 2010 and to 200 within three years. This was disclosed by company president Chan Yue Kwong.
Chan said the number of their outlets on the mainland may probably exceed that in Hong Kong in three years’ time.
China Knowledge reported that the company also intends to build a food-processing and logistics center in Tai Po in Hong Kong which will cost RMB250 million (US$37.3 million). In addition, it plans to spend RMB150 million (US$22.4 million) to start construction of a similar facility in Guangzhou in Guangdong province.
