Car output and sales continue to fall

Automobile production and sales took a further dip in July, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. The trade group said July's production and sales dropped by 15.48% and 8.98% respectively from June, the fourth consecutive monthly decline since April. The association said the drop resulted from production line checks and longer holidays in July, enabling assemblers to cut power consumption during the energy crisis.
