New 3G high-speed phone chip

Nanjing’s Southeast University and Dongda Communication researchers have developed China’s first high-speed chip for third-generation mobile phones using wideband code division multiple access, or WCDMA technology, reported state media. The chip, called Noah3000, is three times faster than the rival CDMA2000 technology, the report said.
