Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian asked People First Party (PFP) Leader James Soong Chu-yu to convey a message to Beijing during his upcoming mainland tour. But he declined to say what it was before leaving Taipei himself for a visit to the Marshall Islands. The PFP is Taiwan's second largest opposition party after the KMT and Soong's trip will follow the KMT's soon-to-end tour headed by Lien Chan, who met with Chinese President Hu Jintao in Beijing. Arriving in Shanghai, his last mainland stop, Lien promised a speech "rich in content" for delivery today.
