Chief of Man Group's China unit reappears after week's absence

The China unit chair of alternative investment manager Man Group, Li Yifei, has returned home after being called in by authorities a week earlier, South China Morning Post reported, citing a statement from Li’s Husband, Wang Chaoyong. Wang said Li had been dismissed from the meeting several days ago and claimed the couple had then gone on holiday to Sichuan. Li, who on August 31 was reported to have been detained by authorities to assist in a securities investigation, said on Sunday afternoon that she’d “had a good rest” during the break. Beijing has thus far arrested 11 people for alleged insider trading and spreading market rumors, eight of them from Citic Securities.
