A former doctor convicted of murdering eight children on their way to school was sentenced to death on Thursday, reported state media. The 41-year-old Zheng Minsheng, admitted to "intentionally killing" the children, stabbing them with a knife in a surprise attack outside their elementary school. During Zheng’s trial, prosecutors played 55 seconds of video footage of the incident in Nanping, Fujian Province in southeastern China. Five children were also injured but survived the attack, although one remains in the hospital in serious condition.
