$4.18b – The combined venue and operating budget for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
502 – Number of Chinese TV dramas produced in 2008. That’s 27 less than in 2007 – the first drop in TV productions in five years.
$73b – The amount that Beijing invested in science and technology funding in 2006 as part of a 15-year program. It was announced last week that the program was not performing according to expectations.
$1.6b – The amount of money Coca-Cola has invested in China since 1979. The company just announced that it is investing US$2 billion in the country over three years to expand production, distribution and R&D.
