China censors text messages

The Ministry of Information Industry announced yesterday a month-long crackdown aimed a curbing �dirty� mobile phone text messages including those containing pornographic and astrological content, the South China Morning Post reported, citing the Ministry website. The censorship may continue beyond October 30 and is likely to affect activists who have used text messaging to plan protests.
