The China Greentech Report 2009, produced by a group of more than 80 predominantly Western companies and organizations, says it can foresee a US$500 billion to US$1 trillion annual market for clean technology in China, the Wall Street Journal reported. The report, published Thursday by the China Greentech Initiative, identifies over 300 clean energy, construction, transport, water and other businesses that could open in China. The US$1 trillion figure is based on best-case scenarios based on expectations of China’s growth trajectory.
