The international unit of China Mobile (CHL.NYSE, 0941.HKG) has launched a new phone app to expand its global presence, Reuters reported, citing a senior executive. Its new app product Jego allows anyone outside China with an Android or iOS smartphone and a data connection to receive free incoming calls on a China Mobile number. They can also make cheap international calls using the app. China Mobile is the world’s largest mobile operator and the most profitable, according to ABI Research, but it has struggled to gain a foothold overseas.
