China Mobile is studying Apple’s software shop business model and has plans to name its to-be-released software shop ‘MobileMarkter,’ reports China Business News quoting China Mobile Chairman and CEO Wang Jianzhou.
China Mobile and Apple are currently negotiating iPhone cooperation, said Wang according to JLM Pacific Epoch.
China Mobile intends to expand TD-SCDMA network applications via wireless broadband construction, reports Information Times quoting China Mobile Vice President Lu Xiangdong at an industry meeting on February 10.
China Mobile launched a TD-SCDMA-based wireless network in Xiamen on September 8, 2008.
The Ministry of Science and Technology is encouraging China Mobile to build an effective, interactive system and work closely with industry peers on TD-SCDMA development, said another Information Times report.
