China and Myanmar signed 21 agreements focused on improving trade between the two countries. China Vice-Premier Wu Yi and Myanmar Prime Minister Khin Nyunt witnessed the document signings after participating in talks on China-Myanmar economic cooperation. Agreements signed included contracts and memorandums of understanding (MOU)s for power plants, communications infrastructure, mineral exploration and railway projects. Wu Yi was on a five-day official visit to Myanmar, part of a Southeast Asian tour also including stops in Laos, Cambodia and Maldives.
