Cisco Systems Inc announced on Monday that China Netcom Group selected
Cisco's 12000 and 7000 Series routers to use in its IP/MPLS backbone and service
network in China Netcom's rapid nationwide expansion. The routers will be employed in
China Netcom's Metro Ethernet and virtual private network services, among
others.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
