China Shipping Group has acquired Norton Lilly International’s 50 per cent holding in China Shipping (North America) Agency Co Inc. Workforce numbers have been slashed from around 120 to just 50 in the US, as China Shipping assumes full responsibility for its own container shipping network over America. News of the acquisition was made public on the day China gained official entry to the World Trade Organisation.
