China Southern Airlines has deployed 30 TouchPort kiosks at its Chinese hubs of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changchun and Zhengzhou.
NCR TouchPort kiosks use Common Use Self Service (CUSS) technology, allowing different airline applications to run at the same time on a single self-service device.
These are the first CUSS-compliant kiosks that China Southern has deployed. NCR will also provide maintenance services for the kiosks.
Trading Markets reports that customers can check-in, view seat assignments, make seat changes, review itineraries and print boarding passes using the NCR TouchPort kiosks.
Passengers who have used Internet check-in can also use the kiosks to access their reservation and make changes if necessary. The kiosks feature an integrated barcode imager for customer identification and an integrated passport reader.
