China Southern Airline Shenzhen Branch, which started in 1982, has now been joined by nearly 70 other airlines.
But the pioneer in Shenzhen was unboubtedly China Southern. It was:
the first airline in Shenzhen;
the first Shenzhen international airline;
the first Shenzhen occidental all-cargo service airline;
the first airline in Shenzhen to issue electronic tickets:
the first airline in Shenzhen offering online self-service;
the first airline in Shenzhen to introduce the super large Boeing 747 all-cargo carriers.
Shenzhen Post says that to deal with the financial crisis from the very beginning, the middle of 2008, China Southern reduced the salaries of middle-level management by 10% but, at the same time, laid off no staff.
