China Southern Shenzhen pioneer

The 18th anniversary of China Southern Airlines in Shenzhen marks it as being the first airline to have a base in Shenzhen.

China Southern ShenzhenChina Southern Airline Shenzhen Branch, which started in 1982, has now been joined by nearly 70 other airlines.

But the pioneer in Shenzhen was unboubtedly China Southern. It was:

the first airline in Shenzhen;
the first Shenzhen international airline;
the first Shenzhen occidental all-cargo service airline;
the first airline in Shenzhen to issue electronic tickets:
the first airline in Shenzhen offering online self-service;
the first airline in Shenzhen to introduce the super large Boeing 747 all-cargo carriers.
Shenzhen Post says that to deal with the financial crisis from the very beginning, the middle of  2008, China Southern reduced the salaries of middle-level management by 10% but, at the same time, laid off no staff.
