Guangdong-based China Southern Airlines is to add new services to popular tourist destinations in Yunnan province, with connections for the first time to Xishuangbanna, Lijiang and Dali. China's largest airline will run daily services between Shenzhen and Dali via Kunming. It will also operate a three-times-aweek service between Guangzhou and Xishuangbanna and a four-times-a-week service between Guangzhou and Lijiang. Both these routes will involve a stop in Kunming.
In 2001, China Southern carried more than 350,000 domestic and foreign tourists to destinations in Yunnan.
