China tests AIDS vaccine on volunteers

China has begun testing a new AIDS vaccine on 49 volunteers between ages 18 and 50, state media reported. China estimates it has 840,000 HIV carriers, but foreign experts say actual figures are much higher and caution that China could have 10m HIV cases by 2010 unless it does more.
