China to fund software-information service projects

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will support software and information service projects with the electronic information development fund in 2009.

Start with a typical project. This one focused on the research and industrialization of real-time database, SaaS (Software as a Service) quality evaluation system, the development of project management software for information technology services, and the development and industrialization of Uyghur, Kazak, and Kirghiz language software. Enough to keep a lot of programmers very busy.

TM.Net reports other software and information service projects include information security evaluation system, the development of resource database, the research and industrialization of CAD (Computer-aided Design) software, the software development for base city of service outsourcing, and the support platform for information service outsourcing.

The development fund will also be used for the  development of multimedia application processor chips for high-performance digital mobile terminals.
