China has offered to help restrain Iran’s nuclear plans ahead of an expected Washington visit by President Hu Jintao in April, Illinois Republican Congressman Mark Kirk told reporters in Beijing yesterday. Wu is a member of the nine-member Communist Party Standing Committee that makes the country’s key decisions.
