The China Securities Journal reports China will raise its investment in fixed assets in the aviation industry by at least a third to US$11.7 billion to $14.6 billion this year.
In 2008, China invested $8.8 billion in fixed assets in the local aviation industry.
Projects this year include expansions at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Tianjin Binhai International Airport and Urumqi Diwopu International Airport.
