China to use foreign bank credit data

China announced that foreign banks will be permitted to share credit data on both individuals and corporations with local Chinese banks once they begin yuan service offerings in 2006. People's Bank of China officials said the bank has developed local credit rating systems but disclosure regulations and privacy laws aren�t sufficient to set up a nationwide system. A national credit system is slated for creation within two years.
