According to the China tourism industry statistics, total inbound foreign traffic has been around 131 million out of which Asian constitute the largest percentage:16 million from Asia followed by 6 million from Europe and 6 million from Americas.
Domestic traffic has increased to 1.6 billion passengers.
Many airlines now have direct flights to China including Eva and China Air. These airlines keep announcing special packages for China tickets that has made it economical for people to make frequent trips to China. And the Chinese embassies have responded by making getting a visa a postive and pleasant experience.
IMexIndia suggests that there appear to be no limits to the potential of growth. This may well be so, but whether it will fill all the high-end hotels which have been opened — and are still opening — is another question.
