China won't curb apparel exports

China said it does not plan to take additional steps to rein in its apparel exports in response to moves by the US to launch an inquiry that could see quotas reimposed on American imports of some Chinese apparel following the end of the global quota regime in January, according to the Wall Street Journal. EU officials are expected to discuss guidelines today on how to deal with the surge in its Chinese apparel and textile imports.
