China’s Higher Education Press (HEP) has chosen Manuscript Central for the online management of a series of journals initiated and supported by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
Launched in January 2007, ‘Frontiers of Computer Science in China’ is part of the ‘Frontiers in China’ journal series which aims to provide a forum for the publication of the best of China’s peer-reviewed papers in English to foster closer communication and exchange between authors in China and abroad. It spans 24 disciplines.
Anyone who has ever been involved in the publication of peer reviewed papers will admit that you
need all the help you can get.
Manuscript Central is claimed to make it easy for manuscripts to be submitted to journals and allows for easy and efficient administrative, editing and reviewing. Thus allowing users to focus on content, not on process.
Thomson Reuters recently launched ISI Web of Knowledge and EndNote Web in Simplified Chinese globally. The company plans to launch a Simplified Chinese version of Manuscript Central in February 2009 to help science researchers in China improve their published output and engagement with a wider audience.
