Chinese budget hotel operator Home Inns & Hotels Management may slow its pace of expansion in 2009. But David Sun told Reuters on the sidelines of a Forbes business forum that Home Inns is sticking to its target of growing to 1,000 outlets in China by the end of 2010.
He said, ‘We’ll still keep expanding this year, maybe not as fast as the 70 to 80% growth (in 2008), but we will still have good growth.’
Home Inns opened 205 outlets in 2008, increasing the total to around 470.
