China's LCD television brands gain ground

China’s domestic brands have gained ground in the liquid crystal display (LCD) television market, which has been dominated by foreign brands for many years.

Oliver Wyman, a major market research and consulting service provider, said that in the past months, the retail sales for China’s domestic brands have exceeded that of foreign brands and had nearly 60% of market share mainly through a low price strategy and quality control.
