China's thermonuclear fusion plants

China may build its own experimental thermonuclear fusion reactor to supply dependable electricity to the energy-hungry nation, state media reported, quoting a senior physicist. China is already building thermonuclear reactors and has joined the International Thermonuclear Experimental reactor project, a prelude to fusion power plants. The physicist, speaking on condition of anonymity, said China's goal is to build the reactors independently.
