China’s trade surplus fell by more than 80 percent year on year in
September after growing 26 percent in August.
Customs statistics
showed China’s trade surplus was US$290 million in September, down from last
September’s US$2.12 billion and the smallest surplus since the country posted a trade
deficit in March.
Total foreign trade reached US$606 billion for the first
nine months, a rise of 36.3 percent from the same period a year earlier.
