China’s Unitree Robotics shipped more than 5,500 humanoid robots in 2025, reports the South China Morning Post, citing unnamed sources. This comes as the Hangzhou-based company ramps up production ahead of its planned listing on the mainland.
That number–covering “pure” full-body, bipedal humanoid models–exceeded those of its American peers such as Tesla, Figure AI and Agility Robotics, which shipped 150 humanoid robots each last year, according to market research firm Omdia.
Unitree saw its annual output exceed 6,000 units, according to the source. Both the shipment and output figures excluded wheeled models and the firm’s other robot products, the person said.
