Chinese hackers linked to biggest espionage attacks

Researchers at US computer security company Symantec (SYMC.NASDAQ) say they have discovered a group of Chinese hackers linked to some of the most well-known espionage attacks in recent years, Reuters reported. The hacker group, known as “Hidden Lynx,” is believed to have played a part in the 2009 Operation Aurora attacks where companies, including Google (GOOG.NASDAQ) and Adobe Systems (ADBE.NASDAQ), were hacked. The report has not linked Hidden Lynx with the Chinese government but Liam O’Murchu, a researcher at Symantec, has stated it is not possible to determine whether the group is linked with the government or who the individuals are.
