Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in Pyongyang, the first Chinese foreign minister to visit the country in five years. Analysts said the visit was an attempt to push for a third round of six-nation talks aimed at resolving the nuclear standoff between North Korea and the US. Chinese and North Korean officials were expected to come up with a date sometime before July for the next round of talks.
