American International Group (AIG.NYSE) CEO Robert Benmosche said Tuesday that he was uncertain whether AIG could complete the sale of its plane-leasing unit to Chinese investors by the June deadline, Bloomberg reported. “June 14, we have to make a decision,” he said at a news conference in New York. “Whether this deal will get done or not, we don’t know.” Last week, AIG said it hadn’t received a deposit required under the agreement to sell 80% of International Lease Finance to a group led by New China Trust Chairman Weng Xianding for roughly US$4.2 billion, allowing AIG to potentially cancel the deal.
