Chinese TV makers fight duties

Chinese television manufactures appealed a US Department of Commerce (DOC) decision to increase import duties on Chinese-made televisions. The DOC planned to raise duties on Chinese televisions to as high as 78.45% in response to complaints lodged by US television manufacturers of harm caused by low priced Chinese imports. Approval from the US International Trade Commission (ITC) is still required to finalize the duties. The ITC is expected to rule on the issue in late May.
