Chrysler Group has filed a complaint against Xingyue Group, the Chinese manufacturer of Jeepzter, in an attempt to block the importation of a vehicle Chrysler describes as a copy of its Jeep Hurricane, reported the South China Morning Post. Although the dual-V8 engine, four-wheel drive Hurricane existed only as a concept car and never entered mass production, the Jeepzter was described in the complaint as "the same or substantially the same to the eye of the ordinary observer as the ornamental design," despite having only an 800cc engine. It is being marketed as a go-kart buggy. Chrysler has also filed a Florida trademark-infringement lawsuit against three companies selling Xingyue Jeepzters.
