Cisco has unveiled a new communications solution developed in partnership with Tencent, China’s largest provider of integrated internet services. Cisco Unified Communications for RTX unifies voice, video, data and applications into a single desktop application and is based on Cisco’s Unified Communications technology and Tencent’s network instant messaging platform. Developed in China specifically for the Chinese market, the new solution embeds applications such as Internet Protocol communication, click-to-dial, voice and video conferencing, visual voicemail, SMS (Short Message Service), and web sharing capabilities into Tencent’s platform.
