US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has arrived in Asia with a new focus on resolving the inflamed crisis over the sinking of a South Korean warship, Bloomberg reported. While Clinton initially intended to come to Asia to participate with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner in the Beijing Strategic and Economic Dialogue, attention has now shifted to the suspected North Korean destruction of the South Korean vessel and the resultant death of 46 South Korean sailors on March 26. South Korea is demanding a "stern" international response to the attack, but North Korea has threatened "all-out war" if international bodies like the United Nations impose tougher sanctions. China has called for "calm and restraint" in international reaction to the incident.
