Mainland oil producer CNOOC announced that its parent company plans to offer 10 exploration blocks to foreign oil and gas companies. The blocks, which cover a total area of more than 35,000 square km, will be offered under production sharing contracts. The Bohai Bay, South Yellow Sea Basin and East China Sea hold one block each, with three blocks in the Western South China Sea and four in the Eastern South China Sea.
