Bloomberg said Moscow may offer China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) as much as 20% of Yuganskneftegaz, Yukos Oil's main energy asset which pumps 11% of Russia's entire oil supply. But Russian plans for the Yukos prize remain fuzzy. Gazprom, Russia's natural gas giant, was to take it over when it took over Rosneft, which is supposed to be acquiring the assets of Yugansk. Private equity firm Prosperity Capital Management said the CNPC deal did not look serious: "One day Gazprom owns Yugansk, one day Rosneft, then a Chinese company; the ownership of Yugansk can still change a dozen times before it's paid for."
