Coca-Cola will establish two bottling factories in western China in an effort to better penetrate the region's rural market.
Kerry Beverages, a partner of Coca-Cola on the mainland, signed a deal with the Chongqing Economic and Technological Developmet Zone to construct a US$11 million bottling facility in Chongqing municipality.
In a separate deal, COFCO Coca-Cola, another partner of the US beverage company, agreed to build a bottling plant in northwest China's Gansu province.
Coca-Cola has already built 30 bottling plants in China.
