Chinese media reported that a new nuclear supervisory company, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Engineering Co, was established in Shenzhen. The company will work to improve management at existing nuclear power facilities in Guangdong province and will work to expedite construction of planned nuclear facilities. The company is the first administrative company in the mainland's nuclear power plant construction sector. The company is a subsidiary of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, which operates four nuclear power units in the province.
