China's National Statistics Bureau (NSB) said that consumer prices in October grew at their fastest annual rate in six years.
China's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 1.8 percent year-on-year in October. The Chinese CPI rose 0.8 percent in the first ten months of the year, and 1.1 percent in September.
The NSB attributed most of the recent increase to rising food prices. October food prices increased 5.1 percent year-on-year.
