Consumer prices in China rose at their fastest annual rate in six years in October, according to the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). China's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 1.8% year-onyear in October. The Chinese CPI rose 0.8% in the first 10 months of the year, and 1.1% in September. The NBS attributed most of the recent increase to rising food prices. October food prices rose 5.1 % year-on-year.
